What is it?
A velux (or eaves) loft conversion involves using the current pitch of your roof and loft space and making it habitable. The end result is very much a ‘loft room’, but these cosy spaces can be ideal for an open plan bedroom, home studio or office.
A velux conversion usually includes:
|Installing two steels to alter roof structure
|Laying of new floor joists to meet modern regulation standards
|Laying new flooring
|The custom creation and installing of a new flight of stairs
|Installing velux windows (hence the name)
|Extension of current central heating system to the loft space
|Insulating & plasterboarding throughout, a plaster finish and 2nd fix carpentry

” Taylor and Coles have finished our loft to an exceptional standard. It is of the highest quality, with the attention to detail being above and beyond. They are men with integrity. They are respectful, polite, and involved us at every stage of decision making. They were flexible, customer-centred and were able to walk in our shoes. I would highly recommend them. “
